NSCN( K) SAYS IS RESPONSIBLE FOR KILLING 8 ARMY JAWANS

The Khaplang faction of the National Socialist Council of Nagaland on Monday claimed responsibility for the killing of seven Assam Rifles personnel and one Territorial Army jawan in an ambush on Sunday in Nagaland.

The NSCN ( K), which recently abrogated its 14- year- old ceasefire with the government in Nagaland on March 27, also claimed to have snatched three guns from Assam rifle personnel. The NSCN ( K), in a statement to local media in Kohima, denied any casualty on their side. However, security sources claimed that at least two NSCN ( K) cadre were killed in retaliatory firing.
