Man beaten up in front of parents in road rage

In yet another incident of road rage, a 35- year- old man travelling with his parents was mercilessly beaten up by three men travelling in a Swift Desire car, when the former asked the driver to make some way for his car near Ambedkar Hospital in Rohini Sector 6 on Sunday night, the police said.

According to the police, the incident took place at about 9 pm on Sunday when the complainant, Amardeep Chopra ( 35), was travelling with his mother and father, identified as Rani Prem and Prem das Chopra respectively, in his Maruti Wagon R car.

The accused have been identified as Mayank, Akash and Saurabh and all are aged between 24 and 25 years. While one of the accused, Mayank, was arrested on Sunday night itself, the other two are absconding.

A case has been registered under Sections 323, 506, 341 and 427 of the IPC at Rohini ( North) police station.

Chopra received multiple injuries on his head and was rushed to Ambedkar Hospital and was discharged on Monday. Mayank, resident of Rohini Sector 6, was arrested on Sunday night and is in police custody.
