Delhi cop killed in road accident

Ghaziabad: A Delhi police

sub- inspector was killed when a speeding truck hit the bike he was riding on

Sunday night on Delhi-Meerut Road, the police said on Monday. SI Shiv Kumar ( 30) and his friend, Manoj,

had on Sunday gone to Murad Nagar. A truck hit their motorcycle from behind while they were returning, the police said. The SI and his friend sustained serious injuries in the accident and were rushed to a government hospital, where the doctors

pronounced him dead on arrival, said SHO Sihani Gate Ashok Shishodia. Manoj is undergoing treatment, he said. The truck has been

impounded.
