Why were puppies used to highlight child safety?
YouTube prankster Joey Salads has created a video that explains how easy it is to kidnap a child in urban settings, be it a park or other common area. In his video, he shows parents how easy it is to convince children to walk away with him. He is seen with a puppy in hand, approaching the parents first to give him permission to speak with their child. He asks the parents how often they would warn their children about not talking to strangers- to which the parents reply ‘ everyday’. They also insist that their kids would run back to them and not speak to him ( Joey Salads). However, thanks to the promise of seeing ‘ more puppies’, each child was ready to leave with Salads-giving parents a rude and shocking awakening. According to Design Taxi, this social experiment was created to raise awareness about child abduction.
