Keep the summer tan at bay with these natural and homemade sunscreen lotions
ESSENTIAL OILS
Mix two tsp of vitamin E oil, jojoba oil, apricot oil, sunflower oil, sesame oil and lavender based essential oils one by one, in a bowl. Heat them in a pan and stir quickly. Be careful to mask your mouth while doing this. Cool in a refrigerator and then add zinc oxide.
ALMOND AND COCONUT OIL
Combine half cup almond oil, quarter cup coconut oil and two tbsp shea butter in a jar. Fill a saucepan with some water and place it over medium heat. Put a lid on the jar and place it in the water. As the pan heats up, mix the ingredients in the jar and add a tsp of zinc oxide to it. Store in a cool and dry place.
RASPBERRY AND CARROT SEED OIL
Mix two tsp red raspberry seed oil and three tsp carrot seed oil in a bowl and heat it in the microwave for two minutes. Stir the mixture and add half cup olive oil and one tsp essential oil. Add zinc oxide as you require. Cool the mixture and apply like a normal sunscreen.
