Guliya wins it for Madras Club

city briefs New Delhi: A fine batting performanc­e by man of the match Sumit Guliya ( 97) led Madras Club to a three- wicket win over Bhartiya Vidya Bhawan in the 10th Radhey Kishan Under- 19 cricket tournament here on Monday.

Chasing 209, Madras Club overhauled the target in 37 overs with Guliya leading the way as Sachin chipped in with 29.

Earlier, Bhartiya Vidya Bhawan were all out for 209 in 39 overs after Aditya Tomar ( 4/ 30) and Vaibhav Kandpal ( 3/ 39) ran through their batting line- up.

Himanshu Sharma ( 92) shone with the bat for BVB. Scores: Bhartiya Vidya Bhawan 209 in 39 overs ( Himanshu Sharma 92, Aditya Tomar 4/ 30, Vaibhav 3/ 39) lost to Madras Club 210/ 7 in 37 overs ( Sumit Guliya 97, Sachin 29, Gaurav Halawat 4/ 30)
