Navyman seeks pre- arrest bail

Mumbai: A sailor from the Navy has approached the sessions court seeking pre

arrest bail in connection with the firing incident in

which a fisherman was injured. The sailor Rajesh C. S. ( 31) had to move the court as the Yellow Gate police has registered an attempt to murder case in connection with the incident that took place at Bombay High near Uttan. His lawyer contended before the court that the incident was purely an accident and there was no intention to cause harm to the fisherman. Additional

sessions judge Atul M. Kurhekar however refused

to give him any interim relief and directed Yellow Gate police to file their

reply on Wednesday.
