PAK CEO GRILLED OVER DEGREE SCAM
Islamabad: Pakistan’s Federal Investigation Agency ( FIA) on Tuesday interrogated Shoaib Ahmed Sheikh, the chief executive officer of Axact company, over a fake degree scandal for 7 hours.
An official said FIA officials grilled the Axact CEO for over 7 hours.
The interrogation was held at the office of FIA’s corporate crime circle where director FIA Sindh, Shahid Hayat, was also present. Sources said the FIA has sought details of Axact’s 43 accounts in five banks.
On Monday, the Sindh high court ( SHC) had dismissed a protective bail plea filed by Shoaib Sheikh. Meanwhile, an ex- Axact employee has revealed the company used to coerce customers into buying degrees irrespective of their academic qualification.
