Kampala, Uganda: AlShebab gunmen attacked the Kenyan police vehicles near Somalia’s border, injuring at least five officers and burning five cars, the police

said on Tuesday. A statement signed by police chief J. K. Boinnet said two officers were critically injured and three others sustained minor injuries in the attack in the northeaste­rn Garissa county. The Garissa police commander Shadrack Mait

ing following the attack had since been accounted for. Two of the attackers were killed, he said. It is believed Al- Shebab militants
