SHAHID AND MIRA WELCOME BABY GIRL

The little one was born late on Friday evening, and Shahid tweeted the news of her arrival

Bollywood actor Shahid Kapoor and his wife Mira Rajput Kapoor have been blessed with a baby girl. The bonny baby was born on Friday evening at Hinduja Hospital in Khar. Mira had been rushed to the hospital on Thursday evening, and while the baby is premature, it was a normal delivery and weighs 2.8 kg. “She has arrived and words fall short to express our happiness. Thank you for all your wishes,” tweeted an elated Shahid, announcing the arrival of his daughter.

Shahid tied the knot with Mira in Delhi on July 7 last year and eventually went on to convert his bachelor pad to a family apartment along with his new wife. And now, Shahid has made sweeping changes for the newest lady in his life. According to reports, Shahid has converted one of his many rooms into the baby’s room, and his powder room into a proper shower- cum- toiler. Shahid’s seafacing pad in Juhu originally had a dance studio in the basement, which the actor and his younger brother used for perfecting their grooves, apart from partying with his friends. On receiving news about the newest Kapoor’s birth, celebrities like Alia Bhatt, Anushka Sharma and Karan Johar, amongst others, took to Twitter to convey their heartiest regards. “Huge congratulations to @ shahidkapoor and Mira.... nothing more precious than a baby girl.... lots of love....( sic,)” wrote Karan and Riteish Deshmukh tweeted, “Congratulations @ shahidkapoor & Mira on birth of an angel. Welcome to the club my friend. Love & blessings to the little one.”
