Cheetahs claim CL title

New Delhi: Fine knocks by Sumit Rana (49) and Rajender Bisht (45 not out) helped Chandigarh Cheetahs beat Delhi Kings by six wickets to lift the 1st North India Champions League here on Sunday.

Delhi Kings won the toss and posted 187/7 in 20 overs.

Saurav Sharma (46), Kapil Tomar (45) and Sagar Sehrawat (35) all posted useful scores for the Kings. Kapil Bhati (2/30) was the most successful for the Cheetahs, who then reached 189/4 in 13.4 overs.

Apart from Rana and Bisht, Sunil Dagar (44 not out) also contribute­d to Cheetahs’ win.

Pradeep Parashar (2/29) was the pick among Kings’ bowlers.

The winners got `5 lakh, the runners-up team got `3 lakh. Scores: Delhi Kings 187/7 in 20 overs (Saurav Sharma 46, Kapil Bhati 2/30) lost to Chandigarh Cheetahs 189/4 in 13.4 overs (Sumit Rana 49, Pradeep Parashar 2/29).
