‘WHOLE NATION ON ONE PAGE AGAINST U.S.’

Pakistan’s Parliament on Wednesday denounced the statement made by US President Donald Trump and said that the whole nation was on one page against the US new policy.

Members of the National Assembly — speaking on a motion moved by law minister Zahid Hamid regarding the US President’s new strategy for South-Asia and Afghanistan and remarks about Pakistan said the whole nation and all the political parties were united to safeguard the nation’s interests.

The members said that Pakistan was a strong and courageous nation and Pakistanis know well how to defend their motherland. The lawmakers said the foreign policy should be reviewed keeping in view national interests and the changing geopolitical situation. They said that a joint session of the Parliament should be summoned to give a strong and clear message to Mr Trump.
