Croatian defender joins Pune for ISL

New Delhi: Indian Super League franchise FC Pune City on Wednesday announced the signing of defender Damir Grgic for the fourth edition of the tournament. It will be the Croat’s first venture into Indian football. Grgic started his youth career with Croatia’s first division club NK Karlovac in 2010. He then move to German club VfL Bochum a season later. Since 2015, he played in Slovenian PrvaLiga for NK Rudar Velenje. “Coming to India and playing for FC Pune City in the Indian Super League is an exciting prospect. Having played in Europe for most of my profession­al career, this will be a new challenge,” Grgic said.
