Dad rapes, kills daughter on suspicion that she was iilicit
Police investigation into a seven- month-old case of “suicide death” of a sixyear-old girl in Bhopal has led to shocking disclosure that the minor was raped and then murdered by her father who suspected her to be an illegitimate child born out of his wife’s extramarital affair.
Police arrested the deceased’s father, a resident of Barela village on the outskirt of the capital city of Bhopal on Friday.
The minor girl was found hanging from ceiling of a room in her house on March 15.
“We grew suspicious when the kin and father of the victim opposed postmortem of the body. Besides, the ceiling of the room where the girl’s body was found was too high for her to hang. Hence, we have gone for post-mortem of the body to ascertain cause of her death”, the investigating officer said.
According to the police, forensic tests on the body have found semen in the private parts of the deceased.
Later, DNA of the father had matched the semen confirming that the girl was raped and then murdered by her father. The accused confessed to the crime.
He told the police that he always considered her to be an illegitimate child born out of his wife’s extramarital affairs and hence he hated her. He later hatched a plot to eliminate her.
Accordingly, on the fateful day, he sent her wife for shopping and returned home from his chicken shop early. He found his other four children playing in the ground floor.
