There are times in an actor’s career when both their personal, as well as their professional lives, go through upheavals. And that is precisely what is happening with Shraddha Kapoor.

The actress has had four flops in a row, and is heavily relying on the forthcoming film with Prabhas — Saaho and the Saina Nehwal biopic that she is working on. But then, she does not have some great offers post that.

After the failures of Rock On 2, OK Jaanu, Half Girlfriend and Haseena Parkar, Shraddha is on the back foot. “She has been Soha Ali Khan, currently on a sabbatical after giving birth to her baby girl, can’t stop gushing over her niece Sara Ali Khan.

The proud aunt says that even as Sara is all set to make her foray into the world of showbiz, she’s glad that Saif Ali Khan and Amrita Singh’s daughter completed her education first. “She’s such a talented girl,” Soha smiles. “She could have done anything; she’s academically gifted as well. But I’m glad she wanting to do bigger films but the offers haven’t exactly been coming the way it was earlier. So, Shraddha has even told her management that she does not mind a salary cut, but she wants the best films and the best scripts to come to her first,” informs our source. According to sources, on the personal front too, Shraddha and her on- again, off- again beau Farhan Akhtar have not been on the best terms of late. A film that Shraddha and Farhan were to do together has also been put on the backburner now.

Sara will be making her debut in Abhishek Kapoor’s Kedarnath, opposite Sushant Singh Rajput. The movie is reportedly based on the 2013 floods that swept across North India.

Soha goes on to add, “Even when she was growing up, Sara used to speak so many different languages, and she used to love dancing. I think she’s such a beautiful girl and is so level headed.”

The proud aunt also approves of the movie Sara has chosen to make her debut with. “I must say it’s a wonderful script,” says Soha. “I’m so excited about this film, and am looking forward to it. It’s also an exciting time in her life.”

Despite being busy as a hands- on mom to her daughter Inaaya, Soha has turned author with her debut book The Perils of Being Moderately Famous, and will soon launch it in Mumbai.
