Man, 23, stabbed to death in West Delhi area

A man was allegedly stabbed to death on Monday night in Rani Bagh area of West Delhi. The deceased was proceeding on his way back home when the assailants waylaid him and stabbed him.

The deceased, who has been identified as, Nandan ( 23) resided in Pitampura. According to the police, the incident took place in the Rama market area.

The police added that when they reached the spot, they found an injured and bleeding Nandan and immediatel­y rushed him to a local hospital where the doctors declared him brought dead.

They added the reason behind the murder was still not clear, but the locals expressed doubts that robbery must have been reported to be the cause behind stabbing Nandan to death.

Aslam Khan, deputy commission­er of police said, “A call was received around 1am on the intervenin­g night of Monday and Tuesday that a 23year- old man was stabbed by some unknown persons and that he was lying unconsciou­s.

A police team rushed to the spot and took the bleeding victim to the hospital where he succumbed.

The police is probing the case and are questionin­g locals and his coworkers, the DCP added. A case has been registered in this connection and an inquest has been ordered.
