MAN USES FAKE TICKET TO ENTER IGI, ARRESTED

New Delhi, April 6: An Afghan national has been apprehende­d at the Indira Gandhi Internatio­nal airport for allegedly using a fake travel ticket to enter the terminal area, according to official sources. Mohammed Bashir was apprehende­d on Thursday when the Central Industrial Security Force ( CISF) personnel found him walking inside Terminal- 3 ( T3) building of the Delhi airport, they said. He was found to be acting suspicious­ly and was intercepte­d, the CISF sources said. The Afghan national told the CISF personnel that he used a “cancelled” ticket to enter the terminal to see off his sister and mother, who were both travelling to Kabul, the CISF personnel said. Bashir was subsequent­ly handed over to the police, the CISF personnel added. Entering an airport terminal without a valid ticket is illegal under the aviation rules.
