DRUG PEDDLERS HELD BY SHAHDARA COPS

Two drug peddlers were arrested by Shahdara district police in two separate incidents. The team has recovered 18.6 kg of ganja. In the first incident, which occurred in Seemapuri on April 4, SI Monu Chauhan along with Constables Prince and Mohit left the Seemapuri police station for night patrolling duty. When they reached a 70- feet road near the police booth, they saw a suspicious­ly moving person with blue bag, who upon seeing the police party started to walk at a brisk pace. The police personnel arrested him on suspicion. During interrogat­ion, he was identified as Salman. The police said that two bags containing 7.70 kg of ganja was recovered from his possession. In a similar Incident in Farsh bazaar, on April 5, ASI Ashok Rana and HC Deepak on night patrolling duty arrested Sonu, 39, and on searching him, the police recovered 10.9 kg ganja.
