Cong leaders were clicked eating before fast

Taking a lesson from a viral picture of Delhi Congress leaders having ‘ Chhole Bhature’ at a famous eatery in Chandni Chowk before sitting on “fast” with party president Rahul Gandhi at Rajghat, couple of Delhi BJP Lok Sabha members have issued do’s and don’ts to party workers for April 12 fast called by Prime Minister Narendra Modi to avoid any embaressment.

Last week, Mr Modi announced a fast by BJP MPs on April 12 to protest the impasse in Parliament for which he blamed the opposition party. Advisories were issued by union minister and Lok Sabha member from Chandni Chowk, Dr Harsh Vardhan, and Lok Sabha member from New Delhi, Meenakshi Lekhi, at the meeting with office bearers and workers from their respective constituency on Tuesday.

Do’s and don’ts include avoid eating at public places, or clicking picture while having foods

A Delhi BJP office bearer present in one of the meeting told this newspaper that the Dr Harsh Vardhan advised everyone present in the meeting to take precaution of highest order to avoid any embracement to the party or the Prime Minister.

“Dr Harsh Vardhan asked everyone to avoid food at restaurants and places frequented by people, do not click selfies while having food or allow any one to click picture,” said a Delhi BJP office bearer present in the meeting of office bearers of party’s two districts falling under Chandni Chowk constituency. Sources also claimed that workers suffering from diabetes are also told not to join the fast called by the Prime Minister.

“Person suffering from diabetes need to eat something at regular interval, so workers having diabetes are advise not to join the fast at health ground,” he added. A party insider said that city BJP chief and Lok Sabha member from North East Delhi, Manoj Tiwari has not issued any advisory. “Mr Tiwari appealed citizens from his constituency to join the fast if they believed that Congress killed the democracy by stalling proceeding in Parliament,” he added.
