Rahul, Sonia meet Amethi, Rae Bareli voters
Congress president Rahul Gandhi and UPA chairperson Mrs Sonia Gandhi held a janata darbar in Rae Bareli and listened to the problems of the people in Amethi and Rae Bareli on the concluding day of their two- day visit to their respective Lok Sabha constituencies.
Mr Gandhi also visited residents’ homes in Salon Assembly and spent time with the children of a government school.
Mr Gandhi and Mrs Gandhi met around 23 delegations at the the Bhuemau guest house in Rae Bareli after which Mrs Gandhi inaugurated several development projects to the tune of over ` 75 crore in her Rae Bareli parliamentary constituency under her MP fund. She also inaugurated a passport service centre at a post office.
Mrs Gandhi participated in a meeting of the district vigilance and monitoring committee.
Senior Congress leaders of the district also met Mr Gandhi and apprised him about the local politics.

Lucknow: Hitting back at Rahul Gandhi for saying that Prime Minister Narendra Modi will not be able to face the Lok Sabha even for 15 minutes, the BJP on Wednesday said such a challenge from the Congress president, who cannot speak "without consulting a slip," is "laughable." "The Congress president cannot speak for 15 minutes without consulting a slip. In any public event or even in Parliament, Rahul Gandhi has been unable to speak at length for 15 minutes... And, in this case, challenging PM Narendra Modi is laughable," said UP BJP spokesperson Rakesh Tripathi.
