DDA asks candidates not to wear full- sleeved shirts to exam
Candidates appearing for entrance examination for junior engineers to be held from April 23 to 26 in the Delhi Development Authority ( DDA) have been told not to wear fullsleeved shirts or tops. They can at best wear only half- sleeved clothes.
A list of do’s and dont’s issued by the DDA said that candidates should not even wear shoes or other footwear, which cover their toes “Only footwear that too open toe type and sandles or chappals are permitted,” a statement issued by the DDA stated.
This apart, the DDA statement felt that candidates should not wear charms, veil and items containing metal such as ring, bracelet, earrings, nose- pin, chains, necklace, pendants, badge, brooch, hair pin, hair band, clothes with full sleeves or big buttons.
“Full sleeved shirts or tops are not permitted and only half- sleeved clothing will be allowed. Shoes or other footwear which cover the toes will not be permitted. It should be open toed such as sandals or chappals. Candidates with long hair should tie their hair so that the ears are not covered. Use of scarf to cover the head will not be permitted,” the statement added.
The DDA has prohibited the candidates from carrying books, pens, pencils or stationery box paper chits, magazines, electronic gadgets ( mobile phones, Bluetooth devices, head phones, pen ore buttonhole cameras, scanner, calculator, storage devices, watches of any types, are in the examination lab.
The DDA has also advised the candidates to not to bring bags and prohibited items as mentioned above to the examination venue.
“In case they bring any such item, they would have to make their own arrangements for safe custody of such items. The DDA shall not make any arrangement nor be responsible for the safe custody of any such item,” it said.
The DDA warned that if any such item is found in the possession of a candidate in the examination lab, his or her candidature is liable to be cancelled and legal or criminal proceedings could be initiated against the candidate.
“The candidates must also refrain from creating any obstruction during the conduct of examination. If any candidate is found obstructing the conduct of the examination or creating disturbances at the examination venue, his or her candidature shall be summarily cancelled. Such candidate shall also be liable to be debarred from future examinations of the DDA and legal or criminal proceedings could be initiated against him/ her,” he said.
