C’garh PCC re­cast ahead of polls

Bhopal: In a sig­nif­i­cant de­vel­op­ment, for­mer chief min­is­ter Ajit Jogi’s wife Renu, a sit­ting Congress MLA, has been ig­nored in the re­con­sti­tuted Ch­hat­tis­garh Pradesh Congress Com­mit­tee ( PCC), de­clared on Satur­day. The de­vel­op­ment has sig­naled end of the in­flu­ence of the Jogi fam­ily in Ch­hat­tis­garh Congress, a se­nior party leader told this news­pa­per. Mr Jogi, the first chief min­is­ter of Ch­hat­tis­garh, has bro­ken away from party a cou­ple of years ago to float a re­gional party, chris­tened as Ch­hat­tis­garh Janata Cong- ress ( Jogi) af­ter his MLA son Amit was ex­pelled from the party in the wake of al­le­ga­tions of fix­ing of an As­sem­bly by­elec­tion in Ch­hat­tis- garh lead­ing to vic­tory of rul­ing BJP can­di­date.
