NCP MP slams PM on women’s safety
Mumbai: In the wake of the Haryana gangrape incident, Nationalist Congress Party MP Supriya Sule Friday asked Prime Minister Narendra Modi if laws that are meant to prevent atrocities against women were really being implemented. She said the PM should break his silence over the issue. A 19- year- old student was allegedly raped by three men in Haryana’s Mahendergarh district after being abducted Wednesday afternoon. “As a woman, I demand justice from the Prime Minister who speaks about ‘ Beti Padhao, Beti Bachao’,” Sule said in a statement.
