Auba’s son meets Henry

-

Pierre-Em erick Aubameyang has been likened to Arsenal legend Thierry Henry of late – and the pair came together for a picture after the club’s win over Everton this week. The Gabon forward wears 14 for the Gunners — Henry’s old number — but it appears he hadn’t previously got the chance to pose with one of his heroes, as per the Daily Mail.

Alongside the smiley snap, which include’s Aubameyang’s son Pierre Jr, the 29- year- old wrote: “Let’s talk about this picture!! Pierre Jr like: come on bring me home!! Me like a kid: I’m waiting this picture since longtime. And of course The Legend. Merci.”

Aubameyang scored Arsenal’s second goal in a simple 2- 0 win over Everton on Sunday afternoon, taking his tally for the season to four goals in seven games. Gunners fans will be hoping he can continue his fine form after a brace in the Europa League on Thursday — a performance which drew comparisons to France hero Henry.

Speaking on BT Sport, Martin Keown said of the forward: “The way he drifted in and curls the ball with his right foot, it reminded me of Henry and that’s a massive compliment.

“There’s a kind of swagger about him and maybe now he will start to believe in himself. I think it’s important for Arsenal to have a player like him, who has that blistering pace and movement. He is following greats like Henry and ( Ian) Wright.”
