Xiaomi unveils affordable smart ecosystem products

Xiaomi has announced a new range of smart ecosystem products for the Indian market at affordable prices.

With the new generation of Mi LED TVs comes Xiaomi’s own PatchWall interface, bringing more than 14 different content partners, both local and global, resulting in over 700,000+ hours of content. Jio Cinema, Hooq, Epic ON and Amazon Prime Video will be new services offered on Patchwall. Patchwall is now based on Android TV, which will let users install apps from Google Play, watch YouTube videos and stream from phones with Chromecast built- in and Google Voice Search. The new Pro series introduces a 55- inch LED 4K HDR model for ` 49,999, a full HD 49- inch model for ` 29,999 and a 32- inch with an HD panel for ` 14,999.

The Mi Band 3 brings a bigger 0.78- inch OLED full touchscree­n display that can show notificati­ons from your phone, in addition to info such as time, date and steps count. Users can swipe up and down to scroll through menu items and left and right for more options. Other new features include a built- in stopwatch, a phone locating function, and an independen­t vibrating alarm function that works even when your smartphone is turned off. The Mi Band 3 will sell for ` 1,999.

The Mi Air Purifier 2S features a compact and minimalist design with an OLED display. Along with a 360° cylindrica­l filter structure, Mi Air Purifier 2S can suck in air from every direction and delivers a high Clean Air Delivery Rate ( CADR) of up to 310m ³ / h — it can circulate clean air entirely for a 21 square meters room in just 10 minutes. It can be remotely controlled using the Mi Home app, Google Assistant and Alexa and will sell for ` 8,999.

The Mi Home Security Camera 360° 1080p is a home surveillan­ce camera that offers 24x7 home protection with 360° coverage of your entire home. Equipped with night vision, intelligen­t motion detection, realtime two- way talk, users can monitor their home’s real- time status any time. With Mi Home app s upport, users can operate the camera remotely, set recording times, and view historic recordings on the app. It offers two types of storage options: microSD cards ( up to 64GB) and NAS devices. The camera will start at ` 2,699.

Lastly, the Mi Luggage series marks Xiaomi’s entry into luggage space, starting at ` 2,999.
