Gang involved in stealing valuables from cars busted

With the arrest of three persons, the police said to have busted a gang involved in stealing laptops and other valuables from cars by breaking window panes with catapult ( gulel) in Dwarka, said the police on Tuesday. The arrested accused were identified as Bhushan Chhabra ( 48), Krishna ( 29), and Dharambir ( 32). In the last few months, reports were filed with police about stolen laptops from vehicles in the area. On September 24, Suraj, an accomplice working for this gang was arrested red handed. He also revealed that he used to resale these valuables to people in Delhi and Punjab, said DCP ( Dwarka) Anto Alphonse. The man also gave informatio­n about the three after which a trap was laid and during vehicle checking a car bearing Punjab number plate was spotted and 17 laptops, 17 mobile phones and 77 SD cards were recovered from their possession. The persons failed to provide the ownership of the items, the DCP added.
