Nine auto theft cases solved; two arrested from Gokulpuri

With the arrest of two accused, the Delhi police of northeast district has claimed that it has solved nine cases of auto theft and recovered nine stolen two wheelers on Tuesday, said DCP ( northeast) Atul Kumar Thakur on Tuesday. The arrested accused were identified as Juber ( 22) and Nizam ( 24).

Police said, during area patrolling, the informatio­n was received that two auto lifters on a stolen motorcycle would be roaming in the area of Gokulpuri.

Subsequent­ly, the team laid a trap and the two persons were seen coming on Apache motorcycle. When police tried to stop them, they started running. However, they were followed and caught. Later, it was confirmed that the bike was stolen.
