MAYAWATI: EVEN RAM TEMPLE CAN’T HELP BJP
Bahujan Samaj Party supremo Mayawati on Saturday asserted that BJP would not return to power at the Centre in the 2019 parliamentary elections even if the Ram temple came up in Ayodhya in Uttar Pradesh.
Sounding poll bugle for the recently stitched alliance between her party and Ajit Jogi’s Janata Congress Chhattisgarh ( JCC) at Sarkonda in Chhattisgarh’s Bilaspur district, Ms Mayawati said the BJP- led NDA government at the Centre has failed to fulfill the promises made to the farmers and unemployed youths and hence it would be dislodged from power in the 2019 parliamentary elections.
She said the like- minded parties should come together to deny BJP to power at the Centre as well as the states where BJP was in power. She also slammed Congress for its failure to uplift the backward classes in the country in the past.
Ms Mayawati said Mr Jogi, the chief ministerial candidate of the alliance, would give good governance if the alliance came to power in Chhattisgarh which is going to Assembly in two phases on November 12 and 20 this year.
JCC will put up its candidates in 55 out of 90 Assembly seats in Chhattisgarh leaving the rest 35 for BSP. Mr Jogi who also addressed the public meeting, declared that he would spare no efforts to make Ms Mayawati PM in the 2019 elections.
