BJP MP wants Buddha statue in Ayodhya

Lucknow: BJP MP Savitri Bai Phule, who is known to be sulking with her party leadership on issues related to Dalits, has demanded that a statue of Lord Buddha should be installed at the disputed site in Ayodhya.

The BJP MP from Bahraich told reporters that during the excavations, artifacts related to the Buddhist culture had been recovered which was reason enough to install a statue of Buddha. “India is the land of Lord Buddha and Ayodhya is also the place of Buddha. This will end all disputes related to the place also,” she said.
