CBI to grill Michel for 5 more days

New Delhi, Dec. 10: Christian Michel James, alleged middleman chargeshee­ted and arrested in the grafttaint­ed Agusta-Westland VVIP copter deal, was allowed by a Delhi court on Monday to be interrogat­ed further by the CBI in its custody for five more days.

Mr Michel, 57, was produced before special judge Arvind Kumar on the expiry of his five- day CBI remand during which he was confronted with various documents relating to the case.

“He has been evasive in giving answers during interrogat­ion,” a CBI officer told the court while seeking an extension in the British national’s remand in the case linked to the ` 3,600 crore VVIP copter deal.

Michel, who was brought to India on December 4, will be produced again before the court on December 15.
