CBI to grill Michel for 5 more days
New Delhi, Dec. 10: Christian Michel James, alleged middleman chargesheeted and arrested in the grafttainted Agusta-Westland VVIP copter deal, was allowed by a Delhi court on Monday to be interrogated further by the CBI in its custody for five more days.
Mr Michel, 57, was produced before special judge Arvind Kumar on the expiry of his five- day CBI remand during which he was confronted with various documents relating to the case.
“He has been evasive in giving answers during interrogation,” a CBI officer told the court while seeking an extension in the British national’s remand in the case linked to the ` 3,600 crore VVIP copter deal.
Michel, who was brought to India on December 4, will be produced again before the court on December 15.
