2 rob, murder 16- yr- old to buy drugs, arrested

Two persons have been arrested for allegedly robbing and later bludgeonin­g a 16- year- old e- rickshaw driver after he resisted the robbery. The duo accused wanted money to buy drugs.

The duo accused were identified as, Aftab alias Vishal ( 19) and Prakash ( 18), said the police.

On Wednesday afternoon, a PCR call was received in the Uttam Nagar police station that a dead body of a boy was lying in a pool of blood. There were injury marks at the head and face of the deceased. Blood soaked stones were also found lying near the dead body.

The deceased was identified as, Chand Mohd ( 16).

were collected wherein, accused seen boarding a E- rickshaw which was driven by Chand.

Acting upon a tip off Aftab and Prakash were apprehende­d and disclosed that they are drug addict but cannot afford it so they planned to rob.

They hired e- rickshaw and asked the driver to come with them under the bridge to take the fare.

The deceased accompanie­d them and when they tried to rob him deceased raised an alarm, which resulted into murder. They also disclosed that they fled away with the erickshaw.
