Man wanted for murder held after 6 years

The police has arrested a 26- year- old person who was wanted in the murder case of a fellow gang member and had been absconding since the last six years. A bounty of ` 50 thousand was put on the arrest of the accused.

The accused has been identified as Rajukumar Mehto, a native of Sitamarhi, Bihar, and was arrested from the IndoNepal border. In July 2013, a mutilated body of a 35year- old man, identified as Anil Gupta, was found in West Delhi. During the probe, two accused persons — Pappu Mishra and Pintu Mahto — were apprehended, who revealed that the Anil was part of their gang and was involved in various robberies in Delhi, DCP Pramod Kushwah said.

The deceased had an altercation with Rajkumar, following which he murdered him.
