Man wanted for murder held after 6 years

The police has arrested a 26- year- old person who was wanted in the murder case of a fellow gang member and had been absconding since the last six years. A bounty of ` 50 thousand was put on the arrest of the accused.

The accused has been identified as Rajukumar Mehto, a native of Sitamarhi, Bihar, and was arrested from the IndoNepal border. In July 2013, a mutilated body of a 35year- old man, identified as Anil Gupta, was found in West Delhi. During the probe, two accused persons — Pappu Mishra and Pintu Mahto — were apprehende­d, who revealed that the Anil was part of their gang and was involved in various robberies in Delhi, DCP Pramod Kushwah said.

The deceased had an altercatio­n with Rajkumar, following which he murdered him.
