TDP chief to sit on day- long hunger­strike in Delhi to­day

New Delhi, Feb. 10: Tel­ugu De­sam Party ( TDP) pres­i­dent and Andhra Pradesh chief min­is­ter N. Chan­drababu Naidu will sit on a day- long hunger­strike in Delhi on Mon­day for de­mand­ing spe­cial sta­tus for his state and ful­fil­ment of com­mit­ments made by the Cen­tre un­der the Andhra Pradesh Re­or­gan­i­sa­tion Act, 2014.

Mr Naidu will stage the “Dharma Po­rata Deek­sha” ( a day- long protest for jus­tice) at the And hr a Pradesh Bha­van from 8 am to 8 pm and lead­ers of sev­eral Op­po­si­tion par­ties are ex­pected to ex­tend their sol­i­dar­ity to his protest, a state­ment said.

He will also sub­mit a mem­o­ran­dum on the spe­cial sta­tus to Pres­i­dent Ram Nath Kovind on Fe­bru­ary 12.
