Dept of disability affairs to have committee of 18

The proposed separate department for disabled persons of Delhi government which will be known as ‘ department of disability affairs, will have a committee of 18 officials including a minister in charge ( Delhi government). The decision was taken in a recently held meeting of Delhi government where it was also proposed to set up district level committee in each district of national capital. According to the sources the upcoming “Department of Disabiliti­es Affairs”, will function under the minister- in- charge and there would a secretary ( IAS), Director ( IAS/ DANICS), two additional directors and 11 deputy directors and one Deputy Controller of Accounts( DCA) and one system analyst who will work in the upcoming committee. While in the district level committee, there will be 11 members who will report to district empowermen­t officer for PWD or a deputy director ranked official. The said committee will have one rehabilita­tion officer ( for PWDs) and one Assistant Account Officer ( AAO), one Section Officer, two Assistant rehabilita­tion officer and two Assistant Section Officers ( ASOs) and three multi- taskingsta­ff ( MTS).
