RJD sets target to enrol one crore members in party

- AGE CORRESPONDENT

The RJD has set for itself a target of enrolling one crore new members in the party. Sources said that the RJD is working out a strategy to strengthen its base in constituencies where it had performed poorly during Lok Sabha polls. Tejashwi Yadav, who returned to Patna earlier this week after being away for over a month, is slated to address two meetings of party members on Sunday. “Party leaders were asked to enrol new members in order to strengthen organisational base in Bihar. Mr Yadav is also taking a keen interest in the membership drive”, RJD leader Jagdanand Singh said. Reports, however, suggest RJD is worried after Hindustani Awam Morcha decided to quit the grand secular alliance and contest 2020 assembly election on its own.
