Girl dies as throat slit by kite manjha
New Delhi: A four-and-halfyear-old girl died after her throat was slit by glass-coated manjha (kite string) in Khajuri Khas area. She was traveling on a motorcycle with her parents, said police on Saturday. The deceased, identified as Ishika, was a resident of Sonia Vihar. DCP (Northeast) Atul Kumar Thakur said, a call was received from JPC Hospital regarding admission of an injured girl, who was declared brought dead by the doctors. During the investigation, it was revealed that the victim was going to Hanuman Mandir along with her parents and sister. Her father was riding the motorcycle and the victim was sitting in the front, police said. When the family reached Khajuri Khas, she came in contact with a kite string that slit her throat. She was taken to a hospital where she was declared brought dead.
