12-yr-old boy dies from snake bite

New Delhi: A 12-year-old boy died after he was bitten by a snake in Shahdara’s Geeta Colony area. The incident occurred on Friday. According to a senior police official, the boy has been identified as Deepak Kumar, a resident of Safeda Jhuggi in the area. “The incident took place on Friday night when Deepak was sleeping in his house. He was taken to the Hedgewar hospital by his parents,” said the police official. “The hospital called us and informed about the incident at around 6.30 am on Saturday morning. A postmortem was conducted at Sabzi Mandi mortuary and body was handed over to family,” said the senior police official.
