Hindi award for SNA head Sen
New Delhi: The Maharashtra State Hindi Sahitya Akademi has conferred the Subramaniam Bharti Hindi distinguished award on Sangeet Natak Akademy (SNA) chairperson “Padma Shri” Shekhar Sen for his contribution to the Hindi language. Mr Sen is a singer, music composer, lyricist, and actor. He is famous for his monoact musical plays “Tulsi”, “Kabeer”, “Vivekanand”, “Saahab” and “Soordas” which he researched, wrote, composed, enacted, and directed. Mr Sen’s performances received great acclaim in India as well as abroad such as the US, the United Kingdom, Belgium, Surinam, Singapore, Indonesia, Hong Kong, South Africa, Sharjah, Mauritius and Trinidad.
