POWERFUL MEDIA

THIS REFERS to the article, “Media and fascists: Lessons of History” by Manish Tewari (Sept. 15). One wonders how long the Congress leaders will go on singing the Hitler song and raising the bogey of fascism in an attempt to scare the Indians vis-a-vis Narendra Modi and his style of governance. The India of 2019 is not the Germany of 1939. It is a deep-rooted democracy of highly mature people having a powerful media. Instead of asking the people to take a lesson from 80year-old history, the Congress needs to learn its own lesson from recent events — the people’s mandate in the 2019 Lok Sabha election.
