Infant dies after falling off structure in Dwarka

An eight-month-old boy died allegedly after he fell from a concrete structure in Dwarka’s Netaji Subhas University of Technology (NSUT) college campus, the police said on Sunday. The deceased was identified as Anand. The police was informed by the Venkateshwar Hospital that an eight-month-old baby was brought dead there.

In her statement, the mother of the deceased stated that the incident took place at around 9:30 am near the NSUT college canteen, a senior police officer said.

She was working when the child fell off from a concrete structure built near the canteen area, the officer added.

After allegations had surfaced that the child died due to an accident with a car belonging to an NSUT employee, the statements of the father and other relatives of the child were recorded again on Friday, the officer added. However, the parents have denied the allegations.
