Pak reports first two deaths from Covid-19 PAK CLOSES WAGAH BORDER WITH INDIA

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province reported Pakistan’s first two deaths from the novel coronavirus while 338 patients are infected with the disease across the country on Thursday. Sindh remains the worst-hit province by the pandemic as 213 patients have been tested positive for coronavirus in it. 45 cases have been confirmed in Balochistan, 33 in Punjab, 23 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 15 in Gilgit-Baltistan, eight in Islamabad and one in Pakistan Administrated Kashmir.

Eight individuals who reached Sukkur from Taftan are tested positive for coronavirus and two more patients in Karachi have been diagnosed with COVID-19. The number of sufferers in the metropolis has reached 61. Meanwhile, one more patient in Sindh has recovered taking the count to three.

Twenty-two more cases have been reported in Balochistan and all of them have been shifted to isolation rooms.

Pakistan Interior Ministry on Thursday closed Wagah Border in order to curb the spread of deadly coronavirus in the country.

According to the notification issued by the ministry, the border will remain shut for two weeks.

The notification further stated that the suspension of activities at the border is in the best interest of both Pakistan and India.

The decision was taken after Khyber Pakhtunkhwa reported Pakistan’s first two deaths from the novel coronavirus while 310 patients are infected with the disease across the country.

Sindh remains the worst-hit province by the pandemic as 211 patients have been tested positive for coronavirus in it.
