If you think that sitting at home can never be productive and you will just end up wasting your precious time then think again. The world has been infected by a disease name Covid-19 a.k.a Coronavirus that has taken over the world, and people are forced and advised to sit at home and do self-quarantine till the situation stabilizes.

Education institutions such as schools, colleges have also been shut from past couple of days and not only that, most of the offices have given work from home to their employees.

Riya Gupta a college student thinks that, with the world coming to a halt, it’s extremely vital that we as individuals take small steps to contribute towards the curbing of the pandemic and says, “I have self- quarantined myself so that I don’t end up being a carrier of the virus. We have also stocked up the necessary grocery items so that we are able to limit ourselves from going out. We have also given our maid a paid leave, so that she and her family also remain safe during this crucial time. Lastly, I make sure to constantly wash my hands whenever possible and also carry a small hand sanitizer bottle.”

As many public gatherings are not allowed due to the virus, Saurav Das being one of the fitness freaks has to quit the gym and is forced to relax home for few days where he says, “Corona has struck us hard where it hurts the most. I am not being able to go to the gym since past 3 days till 31st March as of now. But I expect that date to be further extended by God knows how long. However, I understand it's for the best. I have taken special care to be alert about how I touch my face with my hand. Even though social distancing is not possible all the time, I have tried following it to the best possible extent. Also, corona affects people with low immunity the most. So I've started eating more immunityboosting food items just as a precautionary method. On social occassions, namaste does the work for me. Shirshendu another Delhiite feels that quarantine is blessing in disguise because of the fact that so many people have started spending time with their families and says, “Let's look around us less amount of pollution and a better version of our own cities. Also this proves another thing that nothing in this world is permanent. The employees who earlier supposedly couldn't even take a day off are now working from their homes. It's all about the circumstances.”

The total number of novel coronavirus cases in India rose to 166 after a record number of fresh cases reported from the various parts of the country

Aditi Singh another college student says, “We are having online classes that means we have to sit at home and attend our lectures where we can’t treat these few days as mini vacations as I am having proper classes schedule with attendance which can’t be skipped. I honesty think going to the college was much easier for me but due to the high numbers of cases in India I thinks it’s the best for us.”
