Jr NTR fans threaten to rape Meera chopra
The actress files police complaint against fan clubs of the actor; Jr NTR is yet to respond to her tweets
Meera Chopra, who has acted in a few Telugu films, including one opposite Pawan Kalyan, has filed a complaint with the
Hyderabad police that she is being abused by the fans of Jr NTR fans on Twitter because she praised Mahesh Babu more than Jr NTR.
The Bangaram actress has also asked Jr NTR to take responsibility for the behaviour of his fans. While Meera Chopra was interacting on Twitter with her fans, a few questions were asked about Mahesh Babu and Jr NTR too, as she had worked in Telugu films. She made positive comments about Mahesh Babu, but apparently did not say too much about Jr NTR. Fans of the latter then started abusing her on Twitter. The actress immediately complained online to Hyderabad Police and tagged Jr NTR in another tweet saying that he should respond about the abuse his fans were heaping on her.
“Well i didnt know not being somebodys fan was a crime.. i want to say this loud to all the girls that if you are not a fan of @tarak9999, u could be raped, murdered, gangraped, ur parents could be killed as tweeted by his fans. They r totally spoiling the name of their idol (sic),” Meera tweeted. “I have all respect for him (Jr NTR) as an actor. The only reason iam tagging him is bcoz he should know how his fans behave. And its his responsibility to address them and ask them to refrain from such hooligism (sic),” she said in another tweet. In yet another tweet, the actress complained to the National Commission for Women and Hyderabad police, asking them to take action. “@NCWIndia @sharmarekha @hydcitypolice @Twitter plz take action against these account holder’s. They r openly #slutshamming threatning of #gangrape, #acidattack, #murder. This cannot go unnoticed,” she said. Meera Chopra followed up these tweets with another one to Jr NTR, saying, “@tarak9999 i didnt kno that ill be called a ***ch, ***re and a pornstar, just bcoz i like @urstrulyMahesh more then you. And your fans will send my parents such wishes. Do u feel successful with such a fan following? And i hope u dont ignore my tweet!!.” Jr NTR is yet to respond to any tweets.
