Ajay Devgn starrer Bhuj: The Pride of India may soon be released on OTT platform

Trade sources reveal that the makers have a good offer that suggests an OTT release as well as a satellite release

-

The buzz in the film trade is now about one of the biggest films that was to hit the big screen this year around Independence Day — Bhuj: The Pride of India, starring Ajay Devgn, Sanjay Dutt and Sonakshi Sinha among a host of others.

The rumours are strong about Bhuj hitting an OTT platform at the soonest. Earlier, the buzz was strong about Laxmmi Bomb hitting the OTT soon, but as we reported the other day, the idea has been deferred. However, Bhuj seems to be going that way, insists the trade. “Bhuj is a big-budget film and has to release soon. It does seem that the makers have a good offer. The producers of the film are looking at a solid deal that is a mixture of an OTT as well as a satellite release soon after which is why it seems like a good deal. The paperwork has not been done. But the buzz is that an offer has been made,” says a trade source.

Bhuj: The Pride of India also stars Sharad Kelkar and Nora Fatehi in key roles. Kelkar, who worked with Devgn in Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior walked in to replace Rana Daggubati, who opted out of the film after he jetted off to the US. Parineeti Chopra was also apparently playing a Pakistani agent in the film and had to leave the project due to date issues and was replaced by Nora Fatehi. Bhuj is about the 1971 war and how 300 women, along with an air force officer, build an airstrip in Kutch to fight Pakistan.
