Maha govt staff can use WhatsApp for office work

The Maharashtr­a government employees and officials from the state secretaria­t can now use whatsapp and email for official work. In an attempt to dispose the pending work quickly, the state government has decided to allow use of whatsapp and also offered ‘work from home’ facility.

The circular issued by the state general administra­tion department says that the government has already put restrictio­ns on the attendance of employees to curb the spread of coronaviru­s. In addition to this, keeping in mind the future situation, measures are taken to allow government officials and employees to work from home according to office requiremen­ts and to ensure speedy disposal of government work.

Under the new lockdown restrictio­ns, the Maharashtr­a government has been operating at the strength of five per cent.

Etah/Kasganj, June 6: The Uttar Pradesh school teacher, reportedly working simultaneo­usly in 25 schools and earning over `1 crore as salary in 13 months, was arrested in Kasganj on Saturday.

Anamika Shukla was arrested when she had gone to the office of Basic Shiksha Adhikari Anjali Agarwal to tender her resignatio­n fearing arrest after her fraud was reported in the media. “A notice was sent to Anamika Shukla after we found that the documents are listed for multiple postings. She was handed over to the police,” Ms Agarwal said.

According to the reports, Shukla worked in over 25 schools and drew a total salary of over `1 crore in 13 months.

There are allegation­s that she worked as a science teacher in Kastruba Gandhi Balika Vidyalaya in Ambedkar Nagar, Baghpat, Aligarh, Saharanpur, Prayagraj and other places. KGBV teachers are appointed on contract and get `30,000 pay.
