- LIPIKA VARMA

Madhuri Dixit, who had been shooting back-to-back for her dance show and her Netflix debut before the lockdown, is now eagerly waiting to resume work.

“We were to shoot for Dance Diwanee,” the star told us in a recent interview. “We usually shoot for this show in May, but owing to the pandemic and the lockdown, we were unable to do so.”

Asked what was on her bucket list for the year, she said with a smile that the list just keeps growing. “It’s a never-ending bucket list. But it feels good when we do something new and when it is appreciated,” she shared.

Talking about her Netflix show, Madhuri says “We had already started the shooting. A bit of my portion was shot, but we had to stop midway because of the lockdown.” Pressed for details, she said “I cannot reveal anything about the title or even my character. The makers are to announce the details, so let’s wait for the right time. Maybe they will make the announcement soon, once things become normal.”

Meanwhile, Madhuri’s blockbuster Hum Aapke Hain Kaun completed 26 years recently. The actress is thrilled. “I can’t believe that 26 years have gone by. It was not only fun, but the incredible team put in a lot of hard work. We all worked very hard to bring this film alive on celluloid,” she recalled. “The sincere and hard work is evident even today. It feels great and all of us are proud that even this generation loves to watch our film,” she said, adding, “What more can I ask for? All I can say is a big Thank You to my fans for watching the film.”
