Deepika’s fans are furious

Alleged drug chats between Deepika Padukone and her manager Karishma Prakash leave the former’s fans seething

The dramatic developmen­ts in the drug probe by the Narcotics Control Bureau ( NCB) after actor Sushant Singh Rajput’s death has been left the nation shocked. After Rhea Chakrabort­y was arrested by the NCB, Sara Ali Khan, Rakul Preet Singh, Simone Khambatta and Shraddha Kapoor’s names came forward in the same scandal. Now, in a much surprising turn of events, Deepika Padukone’s WhatsApp chats with her manager Karishma Prakash from October 2017 have come out, in which the ‘ D’ supposedly refers to Deepika while ‘ K’ stands for Karishma.

In the chat, Deepika is allegedly asking for maal ‘ hash’ and not for ‘ weed’ from Karishma. Marijuana, which is a plant extract, is considered considerab­ly less potent than hash. Hash contains very high levels of tetrahydro­cannabinol ( THC), which is the primary psychoacti­ve component in marijuana, hashish and other preparatio­ns derived from the cannabis plant.

As of now, it has been reported that Karishma has been summoned by the NCB for questionin­g. Deepika Padukone is also set to be summoned by the NCB as the investigat­ing agency acts on the evidence that has emerged from Sushant’s talent manager Jaya Saha.
