Rakul Preet Singh posted a video on Wednesday, in which she is seen dressed in a red winter jacket paired with black trousers and a headgear, cycling her way to the sets of her upcoming film Mayday. The actress, who is shooting for the Ajay-Devgn directorial in Hyderabad, has apparently been cycling to the sets thrice a week, an experience she calls ‘amazing’.

Giving us an insight into why she decided to start cycling, she says, “The weather was amazing. I enjoyed the winter breeze and the beautiful roads. I thought it was extremely refreshing to kick start the day like that.” Then telling us that she cycles to the sets on alternate days, when her weight training is light, Rakul adds, “I wake up at 4:30 am and hit the gym, after which I cycle to the sets.” Cycling is not a new sport for the actress. Rakul was regular at cycling during the lockdown. However, given that her post-COVID recovery hasn’t been too great, Rakul tells us that she’s not been able to push herself at the gym to do any strenuous exercise, or burn the calories, as she’d like. “Because of that, I had to limit my food too, and I wasn’t happy about it. I was getting sore. And while I needed to get my cardio, I did not have the time. Then, I heard about some actors cycling in Mumbai and so to save time I thought it would be interesting to cycle to the sets,” states the Sarrainodu star, revealing that she had cycled on the permitted stretch of 15 km on the Outer Ring Road.

But doesn’t all that cycling to the sets make her look tired in front of the camera, we ask. “I cycle only when I feel and look good in front of the camera, not otherwise,” she points out.
