‘Feels glad to be back on sets’

-

Chandoo Mondeti has started shooting for the Nikhil-starrer Karthikeya 2 in Hyderabad. The filmmaker says he’s very glad to be back on the sets and calling out ‘Lights…Camera…Rolling…” “It’s my second day and I feel so happy to be back to work. The pleasure I get being on the sets after the pandemic is inexpressible. I guess film sets is the place any film personality will always aspire to be at,” says Chandoo. Last year, the filmmakers were supposed to travel to Cambodia to shoot scenes around a temple. The recce too was done, but the pandemic played spoilsport.

“We are still hopeful that we can go to Cambodia and shoot. Also, we are planning to shoot in Gujarat and other parts of North India. So, there’s quite a bit of travelling to be done,” he says.

While Karthikeya revolved around a closed temple on the Andhra Pradesh-Tamil Nadu border, the director says the second part would unveil the mystery surrounding Lord Krishna. “It’s a new adventure and a new challenge for the protagonist and the film has a lot of chase sequences,” says Chandoo, adding that Nikhil will be seen in the role of a doctor. “Nikhil did quite a bit of homework for the part. The artwork that went into the set will also stand out,” shares the director.
