Baghel says jab cost must be uniform

Chhattisgarh chief minister Bhupesh Baghel on Thursday demanded the Centre to bring in uniformity in pricing of Covid-19 vaccines.

In a letter to the Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Mr Bhagel said the cost of vaccines should be uniform for the Centre as well as the states. “A uniform rate of vaccines would be justified as both the state and the Centre earns revenue from the taxpayers’ money,” the letter said.

Mr Baghel was among several Opposition leaders who registered strong opposition to the Centre’s decision to liberalise vaccination.
